She is acting like that because she is confused, trying to find the balance between the truth that God did it for her, and that she had to be willing to take the action to let Him.

Sounds like this is rather new to her, and she wants to ackowledge God in her life, but also needs the support for having accomplished such a great feat. Stopping smoking is harder than quiting a crack habit. She deserves compliments, but is afraid to take them less she borget about God's hand in it.

Who understands women? Only God cause he created them.

All we can do is learn to live with the inconsistencies of their thoughts and actions. Yet, to them, we also are hard to understand.

Just love her in spite of her faults.

This is it in a nutshell. Finding your belief in god is a new revolation for her, It is believing in a higher power that gives you strength to do many worth while things, It's not now about herself all the time, but how she wants to live her life. She is maturing.

Doing what is right for herself and others.She just is starting to see that certain things are right and certain things maybe wrong. There is a gray way of thinking lattley but doing right things makes her feel that confidence that anything is possible. This is a good thing. Yes she gave up smoking but she did see the need to Thank the one who gave her the confidence. She sounds very independent and you sound threatened. Don't be ,she is developing faithfulness, intregitry, and morals, this is the best thing to happen to the both of you, and you should admire this.

Most men would give thier eye-teeth to find a woman like this. Please be patient and don't make fun of what she says, she is not rejecting you she just wants you to appreciate her dedication
to doing the right things. Try to be a part of her new life, don't distance your self. Tell her that you are proud of her for not only
quiting smoking but for having the faith she will need in the good and bad times.

And believe me bad times will happen and with out faith that things will turn out ok, things will look pretty desperate at times. And no one has all that strength without a higher power. It's up to you , think long and hard about if you want a woman who is faithful or one who is not. Good Luck to you! I think you have a winner and haven't thought this out.
Take care Maryanne

I'm a woman and I don't understand them. Just be happy she quit and the money you all are saving. Try redirecting the conversation that way. =}

Well, Im a woman and I wouldn't act like that, I love compliments and take them as they are given. She should have thanked you, kissed you, threw you on the bed and....yeah anyways...she's crazy!

let her know that God provided her with the strength to quit, but that she chose to except His strength, and she deserves credit for that part of it...no matter what mood shes in, thats the truth...

God presents us with choices - he does not choose the outcome - that's our job. SHE quit all by herself. But, God is very proud of her.

Only God understands them because He created them. Likewise men.
