For prosthetics I would suggest starting in Hollywood. Cinema Secrets has a great line of prosthetic appliances you paint yourself. There are also folks out there who sell their own or do custom work - I think Monster Makers is one.
Costumes are harder to find. Some film studios sell their movie costumes after a time through auction houses or Ebay. You can find a costumer to make a costume for you based on a film design, or try to find rental quality costumes (these are usually higher priced but better made). Last Halloween I saw several rental quality costumes at my local mall Halloween store. Just keep an eye out.

I would recommend e-bay or hire a talented costume designer to create the items for you. Your local college should be a good start.

For costumes and weapons I always go with museum replicas. www.museumreplicas.com Unforunately I think the website has less than the catalogue.
