Right On! The music today is overly processed and not nearly as good. Theres no intelligence in the lyrics. I miss the guitar solos.

the standards and "the bar" has plummeted...Most musicians don't have a variety of music influences anymore..they just listen to and play one or two types of music...These days people record to a "click track" and so the band is playing to a metronome instead of each other. I can't BELIEVE the bands on Leno and Conan:they can't sing, write or play...The Beatles were together 7 years before they recorded. They really had a chance to develop. Hendrix was gigging 10 YEARS before he made it. RAP? it seems to be for people who don't want to learn how to write a song, sing or play an instrument9some good lyrics, though). I know exactly how you feel. I don't even hardly listen to the radio anymore because every song is the same--commercialized overdone crap. It makes me sick all the Britney Spears, Pussycat Dolls, Lindsey Lohans that are out there.

I have no idea,one band that I DO NOTTTT!!!! recommend is "Be your own pet".Holy crap I heard them on LAte night with conan o'brien the other night and they sucked!!!!!!Another one that isn't good unless it's been in a studio is MOdest mouse.I like the old stuff myself.
