I am a nurse and I truly believe the one thing I would not want to live without is my health.
I have taken care or people who abuse their body and it is a sad, sad sort of affairs. I get totally dismayed when I read about smokers rights and other health altering addictions such as alcohol and drug addiction.
It is amazing how people abuse their health and their bodies and then try to rationalize it as a right or a privledge.
When your health goes to pot, you have nothing left, just a sick body to wake up and deal with all day long, sometimes for years.
I need my health.

The night my x gf broke up with me I would have said it was her i truly couldn't live without,...well actually that still seems kinda true but also just any relationship. Friends and family make life seem not so empty.

Friendship. Someone told me once that along with needs like food, water, etc. people need the feeling of acceptance and love, that it is one of those "vital needs." I laughed it off then, but I agree with it now.

My sense, deep down, of optimism. My belief that goodness is inherent in most beings--and the feeling that if I trust my intution, things often can and are meant to work out beautifully.
