I used to love that song and video. Did you know Tals father is Randy Bachman of The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive.
I think Ashanti is the better singer but Raven is multi talented. She is so funny.

Yeah it was a nice song. Where's Tal Bachman now?
Pity it was like his one & only hit kinda like Edwyn Collins, "A Girl Like You."
I thought the words were cool when he goes, "she's so high like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Aphrodite..." she must've been something to inspire him to write such a song lol.
If I'd to pick between Ashanti and/ or Raven, I'd go with the former because she established herself first before Raven. The latter was a child actor/ comedienne.
Ashanti to me is like a Aaliyah clone with the image and soft vocals.
