The Question for the slow people is why hasn't there been a Black president or a women president?

The Answer is: people especially the government is afraid of change. Another reason is people feel Women and Blacks are not able to run a country as well as a white male. These select people feel blacks and women are not as Intelligent, but the day is coming where stereotypes will be gone, but i wouldn't hold my breathe.

On the grand scale of things we are a young nation.

Maybe some folks are smart enough to not want to pile headlong into a position where the best a person can do will be continually faulted by one side or the other. Maybe blacks and women are too smart to be trapped in a dead-end job like that of being President of the U.S.

From what I hear, anyone who's running for Pres. either Republican or Democrat, is going to have to be approved of by a group of people whom "don't need to get elected".

Look over the affiliations of the Presidents of the past, you'll see that they have some groups in common.

Generally, anyone non-white hasn't been participating in those groups. IF you had a black woman participating, I'd say she might have a chance; but she'd also be a puppet of those groups.

Oh, and those groups are not friends of mankind.

Research it for yourself.

Because at this time the "good Old Boys" cannot accept that either a woman or a person of african descent has enough intelligence to run this country, when the contrary is true.

Personally should Oprah Winfrey decide to run for President, I would be the first person in line to vote for her as she is a compassionate, intelligent person of integrity.

Please. you understand what - Obama sucks and maximum individuals individuals understand it. Have there been any candidates in either of these two groups that had a broad enough appeal to Americans to win? Too many politicians script their "beliefs" to attract specific interest groups to the exclusion of the mainstream.

Here's a link to something that is also related to at least part of the question. If you can't handle it don't start complaining.

because we live in a racist country divided by racism and bigotry ... we're really good at talking the talk but we have a little trouble walking the walk ... because the criminal republicans and their criminal democrat friends create the illusion that you have a choice while they manipulate elections and use FOX NEWS the indoctrinate and form your opinions...

meanwhile the "SHEEPLE" are too busy fighting amongst themselves to understand 1 tenth of whats really going in the world

according to government reports.. we have made 23,000 trips to Iraq at the staggering cost of 50 billion and how pays for that?

the SHEEPLE...and what did we get for our expense? a civil-war and the absolute hatred of the entire world and a well deserved reputation as bullies, thugs and occupiers.. do YOUR homework and stop letting fox news do your thinking

wake up America you've been stupified
