KFC is really being sued, for their use of partially hydrogenated vegetable oil and the risk it creates of getting heart disease. I'm a co-Manager at KFC and actually found this out by watching the news rather than from the Company.
Here's the story: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,199292,00.html
What the report and the Center for Science in the Public Interest fail to acknowledge is that all Yum! restaurants (KFC, Long John Silver, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and A&W) issue nutritional facts, upon request, and on their individual websites. Also not mentioned is that partially hydrogenated vegetable oil is found in nearly all store-bought and freshly-made foods.
The lawsuit is ridiculous. So is avid KFC-hater PETA.

I don't know if they are for certain but I know PETA is supposed to be pursuing legal action (either now or in the near future). KFC deserves to be sued because they don't let their customers really know what is going on with the food they are eating. check out

It may be an urband legend...There's been a rumor for years that they are being sued because a couple found a fried rat in their bucket of Extra Crispy...but there is no foundations of that rumor.

I thought it had something to do with trying to get KFC to change the oil that they cook their foods in..to get rid of the trans fat.

Yeah because of the supposed horrible conditions that the livestock is kept in before they're slaughtered and brought to the store. Apparently they're violating animal safety laws or something and people are mad because they feel like they're lying to people about where they're getting their "products".

As well, I have heard that KFC has had problems in the past with its levels of MSG in its franchises in the Pacific Rim.

kentucky has no longer sought to trademark the call of the state, as being utilized in commerce. there is no regular tort customary as "call infringement" outdoors of trademark regulation. for this reason, in case you look on your interior of sight yellow pages, you'll see 1000's of agencies that use the call of your city, county and state.
