In the state of WA it takes 1 year at a Comunity College to complete the coursework for a MA but most colleges require that you complete a Nursing Assistant (CNA) course first. Many Nursing Homes offer On-the-Job CNA training. I have seen people complete the CNA training in as little as 3 months at a Community College during the summer.

Nursing assistant certificate (NACs aka CNAs) artwork in hospitals. i'm perplexed although about your 'college'. Do they offer pathways contained in the highschool that allow you to finish a CNA (or NAC) software? Or are you talking about a software at your community college? some 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days community colleges provide an friends in Nursing - others do not. maximum 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days colleges provide an friends AND a BA in Nursing. regardless of the position you get your RN you'll be able to artwork in a clinical institution. With a CNA you'll be able to artwork in a clinical institution even as reading to grow to be an RN (which will take 2-4 years in conserving with even if it truly is an associate or bachelors degree). CNA guidance classes are merely about 8-10 weeks. in case you want extra particular information on the college procedure turning right into a nurse, i recommend you confer with your college counselor - they have a large number of archives on jobs and careers.
