I've had hair loss for around 16 months now but it is getting worse (since the last three weeks). I run my fingers thru my hair and I get three to four strands without any tugs.
I'm familiar with normal hai rloss but I know this is major.
Any holistic advice on what I can to prevent more from falling?
I am 26 years old by teh way, I am using NIoxin since it is also thinning out. Small bald spot in the front.

I used to have really thick shiny healthy hair... now it's really thin and doesn't look all that healthy :( .. So I know how you feel. And mine keeps getting worse.

The first thing you should have checked is your thyroid. Problems with it can cause major hair loss and weight gain.

There is a "brush" called HairMax... and it's damn expensive but it's supposed to work. Here in Canada it runs for about $2,400... but there are shampoo's and conditioner's that you use (that come with it) that prevent more hair from falling out. I personally have used the shampoo's and conditioner's and they actually work. As for the comb/brush thingy, I don't know. But after using the shampoo's for awhile I actually noticed ALOT less of my hair was falling out. When I finish showering I squeeze the water out of my hair and i usually get about 10 strands of hair that come along with it but after using all the little neat and different shampoo's rarely did I even get one strand of hair come out after showering. Take a look into.

But definitaly get that thyriod checked out.

Best of luck! If you wanna talk more by all means e-mail me from my profile page. :)

My Tips: Exercise typically ( Atleast an hour of brisk stroll or strolling) Maintain frame to weight ratio Eat an overly healthful vitamin adding veggies and culmination ( If you can not manipulate that, take multivitamin drugs day-to-day) Eat salmond fish ( If you can not manipulate purchase Omega three pills ) Reduce strain in lifestyles ( Reduce your workload, check out a few meditation like yoga) Keep your head cool ( Apply hair oil every time viable at house) Fight Dandruff : Don't take dandruff calmly...If you've dandruff atleast use head and shoulders shampoo as soon as in four days.Dandruff is a principal motive of hairfall. If you manipulate to get the entire above correct, your hair loss will quit and you are going to have first-class healthful hairs + a ideal frame. Remember that new hairs develop always and historical hairs do fall always, its simply that you simply have got to hold the lack of hair not up to the brand new hairs which develop. And do not panic, 30 strands isn't so much too top to panic, its simply the scarcity of nutrients to your vitamin..take it convenient.. And I realize mine is the first-rate reply ;)

I appears that your body is toxic. Cleaning your body may help with your hairloss.

I would drink 6-8 glasses of distilled water each day. Put your distilled water in glass containers and add 12 grains of brown rice.
This will remineralize your water. By drinking several glasses of mineralized water each day, your body will begin flushing toxins out and give your body a chance to heal itself.

Eat Cilantro Pesto to chelate metals that may be causing your hairloss;

1) Put 1 cup of packed, fresh cilantro, and 6 tablespoons of olive
oil in your blender. Blend until the cilantro is chopped up.

2) Add 1 clove of garlic.

3) Add one-half cup of almonds, cashews, or other nuts. I use mostly almonds, with a few cashews and macadamias.

4) Add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon, squeezed by hand).

5) Blend to a lumpy paste.

And now, taste it! Yes, it looks like something that came from the
hardware store, but I find it truly delicious. You may find the hard part is not eating it all on Day #1.

Scrape it out of your blender and put the pesto in a container in your fridg. The only difficult part of the whole operation is cleaning the blender! I add 8 oz of water, blend it, and make a green, pesto drink. Waste not, want not.
