For me, I'd have to choose Titanic, only because I saw it opening day when I was in 5th grade and fell in love with the story of it all! It was one of those "hauntingly beautiful" movies with a great ending. In your opinion what is the best movie ever made and why?

judging by your answer I don't think you'd like it, but my all time favorite is Robert Bresson's Au Hasard Balthazar. It's a triumph of minimalistic thought, stripping all of human existence down to a single donkey's life. It's the definition of "hauntingly beautiful" and not to disparage your choice, but you should really compare the two to find out there is indeed no comparison. Titanic is about the power of love over time, while Balthazar is about the power of emotion in life. And boy does it do it justice. Worth checking out, in my opinion, and it does have, THE most beautiful ending ever.

It would be The Crow ...with Brandon Lee. It was a story that said love can conquare all even death. He comes back to life to take revenge for the murder of his girlfriend and him. It was a moving story about love, Brandon Lee died while making that movie.

I can agree with Titanic being the best, but i disagree that it has a good ending. Jack should have survived too.
