I believe you! But then, I'm not very conservative :-P
What many conservatives seem not to get (or do get but ignore) is that if you love your country, you want what's best for it. And if that means some things have to change, then so be it.
Supporting a war you feel is necessary or productive is patriotic, but so is opposing one you feel is fundimentally bad for our country. Supporting a good president is patriotic, but so is opposing a bad one. Patriotism isn't about unconditional support for everything our government does, it's about wanting, and fighting for what you believe is best for your country.

I am not a liberal. However I truly believe that the , lets help the poor people of where ever, has been played too many times. We or anyone else are not going to change a culture that has lasted thousands of years. Period. It simply can't be done. What can and is being done is we are spending billions of dollars on a fluke. The good news is that it helps the economy. Especially the people who sell the goods and services necessary for war. The bad news is that our troops that serve and become cannon fodder are gone forever. And except for their immediate families no one truly gives a damn. Also those who have experienced the horror of war are expected to fall back into civilian life as if nothing had happened. There are some things that can't be put out of ones mind. And so it goes the wealthy become more wealthy.
If our leaders wanted to help this country, I think war on drugs would suffice as well as anything and better than most. I mean war on drugs. Doing it not saying it. Put a bounty on drug dealers and have open season on them. No rehabilitation. Simply do them in. That would be cruel and unusual punishment.
Right? This will never be done. The reason it money in high places. Which is the same reason there will always be war.

What is it about the Navy that wrecks people by turning them into flaming liberals like Jimmy Carter, corvuequis? I'll bet your father, uncles, and grandfathers are real proud of you (as they roll over in their graves).
beren: why do you people always think rich when you hear conservative. I ain't rich and I am FAR more conservative than "W." or 98 % of any Republican in Congress.
Note to asker: There is no draft, your brothers signed on the dotted line and raised their right hands. That's the risk you take when you do something like that. I did it, I came back and am thankful. Others (well over 50,000) weren't so lucky. I still think of guys I knew in high school who died in Viet Nam, but I don't hate the military, my country, or conservatives (because they're ALWAYS the warmongers, right?) because these men were lost. There was a job to be done and we did it. There's a job to be done now and your brothers are doing it. Remember that many liberal Democrats went along with going into Iraq because there was a very good reason to do so (even Hillary voted to go). Now you want to get out of there and leave the Iraqi people only half prepared to handle their newly earned freedom? Remember, the bad guys are bombing their own soldiers too.

Your definitions may not be correct. Are you a liberal or an isolationist. We need to help the poor people of the world. Is that not a liberal cause? Not by your definition, you want us out of Iraq so we can be separated from the world. Join the John Birch society for that. Join the center to be concerned American citizens. Your three brother did not join to stay at home. They wanted to make the world a better place and serve their country. Research who you really are and then make some decisions.

it is in all hazard the interpretation, greater beneficial than possibly it is the KJV. i offered a Bible, even although i'm no longer Christian. yet i offered because of the fact it is written interior the recent internation version and it is great Print. the only reason I unquestionably have it, is so while the solutions provide a biblical reference, i'm going to have a typical wisdom what they are speaking approximately. Your precis extraordinarily a lot says all of it. they could be interpeting it to journey their very own objective, i've got observed, there are lots of people who do this. no longer purely in this classification yet at college as properly. 2 human beings can study an identical tale and a couple of human beings can come away with a various opinion on the author's which ability.

Yes, I believe you love your country. To have family fighting in the war is very difficult. I understand that. But instead of pulling a Cindy Sheehan and insulting her daughter (and your brothers), I would think they (your brothers and all the men/women there) would want our support for their victory. Obviously they volunteered to be in the military to protect our great nation. They are doing what is necessary. You are sounding a bit selfish (understandably - they are your brothers), but you need to let them do what they VOLUNTEERED to do. God Bless your brothers and all those serving our country.

Isolationist/Pacifism leads only to failure and death. Remember Vietnam? That would have been chalked up as a win, provided the hippies back at home would have showed an ounce of courage and served with honor.

This whole thing that liberals are unamerican is a bunch of BS.
Wanting to make the lives of all americans better is far more patroitic than just wanting to make the lives of the rich better.

Tell it sister, Just because I am liberal doesn't mean that I don't love this land. My father served in the marines, I lost two uncles in Vietnam, my grandfathers fought in WWII, I myself served in the navy. All you chicken hawk neocons who have never served need to tell me what you have sacrificed for this country

I believe you love your country very much that is why you don't want to see killing by your own nor Americans killed needlessly in Bush's war. You have common sense and can see through the propaganda of the Republican machine. Your love for America is true my friend. You don't have to love Bush to love America
