Just started this med today, sisters & mother have had cancer..can't do hot flashes anymore?

Youngest of 8 children, 2 sisters and 5 brothers, cancer in all the girls so far..hysterectomy 5 years ago...stopped all HRT when the youngest of my sisters developed cancer..hot flashes, night sweats horrible..started this med today, hope it works!

I hope it's not a synthetic hormone. Is it a herbal one? I think the herbal ones would be a better bet.
