my kid has a fever blister, are there any home remedies I can try??

Boric acid powder on a damp cloth - it helps dry it out. You can always use witch hazel too..

Ice - but when it first starts. And it only seems to slow it down - once you remove the ice, it blossoms...

As for some of these other answers - a fever blister is the same thing as a cold sore AKA Herpes Simplex Virus (1 or 2 depending....). This particular type that her child has is on the child's mouth somewhere most likely.

Well i would have to say no there aren't any home remedies that i would know of that will work but i can give you some advice that could help you don't have to take it but its wroth a try you could get some medicated chapstick and put it on your childs fever blister or just carry the child to the doctor

I know this sounds crazy but take a bath with oatmeal!! This helps also! Trust me try an oatmeal bath! Also make sure you moisturize with some lotion to keep it from peeling! Also take an advil to relieve the pain!
