Her kids are gonna come first. She just doesn't have the money to give your mom. If she did have a little surplus, do you really think that she would pay your mom who seems to be getting along just fine, or give her kids a little somthing in their world of nothing? Think about it. And learn to give without expecting anything in return. That's much more Christ-like.

Take it easy. First you need to find out from her why she did not pay your Mom and I heard that she has 3 kids. How can she survive by taking care of three kids by herself?.Be polite and be honest with her and also talk to your mom at the same time.Do apologize to your mom about your friend.Communication is the best for everything and if you are nice and civilize then everyone will do almost everything for you.Good luck

She is out~right? If you have anything on paper, that says she would help out with the bills, or even a person who heard her say that she would, you can take her to small claims court, she will usually have to pay the court cost plus around 8% interest, if you win.

Then she was never a true friend. Don't take it personal she is probably the type that does it to alot of people. Kick her out and find a new true friend. Wash your hands of the whole tging. Be the bigger person and smile when you see her but remember she will probably lie to people about what happened just let it go and move on.

Lesson learned.I am so sorry.
Never lend money to friends, family and co-workers because you more than likely never going to see it or them again.
Never let friends, family or co-workers move in with you because in the end they will not pay you and will leave you as soon as you start asking for the money they owe.
Never borrow money from friends, family or co-workers because if you can't pay them back when they want it they will hound you until you do and in the end you will lose them.

Ask her why she didn't pay you and talk to her about the problem she has with you. It might help solve a few things out and maybe you guys can negotiate something. If not I would get a lawyer and bring her to court.

Ugh what a classless jerk. Okay, I strongly suggest talking to her again, calmly. After that you may want to look into a lawsuit dependant upon how much she owes and how court costs will be.
Good Luck.
ps I hope you learned a valuable lesson.

I would March up to her and tell her "look you thief you should try to watch who you r scamming. You never know whats coming from me." then report it to the police because she could spend some time in jail for scamming you and your mom.
