I hope so.

But it WILL 'return' to the Hall of Fame and of course, any players on the winning team that are from Canada will have a chance to 'bring it home'.

The cup will be in Canada soon, if it isn't already. It will be sitting in the Rexall Center waiting for Carolina to claim it Saturday night. True that hockey was invented in Canada, but how many of the 30 NHL teams are from Canada? 6. The 24 teams in the US thank Canada profusely for your invention, but it will be at least another year before a Canadian team can hoist the cup in victory. Carolina will win game 6.

Well, if a Canadian Team can win the finals. And I hope the Oilers do. I hate Carolina. Then it will return to Canada. Montreal had a chance, but lost to my team, the Lightning. They could win it next year or the year after. Just keep watching and showing you support your team and country. I have to say though, that hockey is not just a Canadian sport. It's a World sport.

As an edmontonian, of course, I would say definitely yes. Edmonton is called "The City of Champions." We had won the Stanley Cup 5 times in 7 years before. It's about time we have the taste of being Champions once again.

If we could get Canadian players to play for Canadian teams it would help.

Yes it should return to Canada soon. They will need it there to give it to Carolina on Saturday night in EDMONTON. After all can't give them the cup when it isn't even in the Country.

Tommy it was Calgary that lost to Tampa Bay.

Yes it should - provided it is a Canadian team that other than the Leafs that won it!

They absolutely need to have the Cup in Canada, it hasn't been there since The Montreal Canadiens (Habs) in 1993... Gawd, the Americans hog everything!!! :)

It's going to be there until late Saturday night. Then it's going on an extended stay in North Carolina.
