Not sure how it works there but over here if you get pregnant the state pays for i think 12 months leave from your job and you can take it when your lets say 6 months pregnant andstay off for the first half year of your daughters life. Then your entitled to vast benefits and some single mothers live ok just off their state benefits as a result. But if you feel bad about assisstance then just sign temporarily with your state office. In the US maybe there's a pregnancy advice centre or the County Welfare Office that you can go to or try South Carolina Advocates for Pregnant Women

or check
http://www.state.sc.us/dss/fi/index.html for SC state welfare services. I only glanced at these but i hope it helps even just a little.(i'm prob stupid enough to have given you options you already knew though)
And dont forget emotional and psychological aid, i'm there for ya ok.

Go to your local department of human services and fill out a aplication for foodstamps, medicade , and tea tea is a monthly walfare check , i'm sure you will indeed qulifiy ..A social worker at the dhs office will help you. If you need rent money now you can go to different churches and ask for funds. The is also a hud program called section 8 , the will put you in a hud house or apartment and pay the rent for you until your child is 5 ...ask the social worker about public housing, hud, section 8...Im a stay at home mother and that working from home is bull s h i t ..it's all scams to take your money to convince you that you will become rich ... My husband makes a good living for us but i was just trying to find some extra income and its all bull sh it ...I admire you for being a single mom people just dont know how hard it is...I would rather see a american citizen get financial assistance from the gov than thses illegalmexicans who live on and has never paid tax ...good luck

Try the Dept of Human Services to apply for things you need help with (food stamps, child support help, WIC, utilites, rent, etc).
Someone who says try to work from home has obviously never been a single mom in a bind....
You can even get help with medical insurance.
I know some churches and facilities (Samartian House) and other charitable places like that will help for those genuinely in need. If you woud like to talk, feel free to contact me!

Try your local Crisis Pregnancy Center. Some of them have free diapers, baby clothes, etc. They also might have some better ideas for long-term financial help.

WIC is a good way to start. If you go there they can help you with prenatal care and food pre birth and after the birth of your child.

I guess your best is not good enough. Stop trying to take the easy way out. You think just because you have a child you deserve free money?

the 1st answer is funny (lol)....but WIC, and depending on what state you live in there are programs that provide healthcare (sometimes free, but dirt cheap) to your while youre pregnant/nursing, and to your baby up to 3 years of age...in IL/ IN its called "kid care" or something like that...look up programs like that on your states Department of Human Services website...good luck!

A job would help! There is plenty of things you can do from home and get paid for your work. Instead of looking for help, be enterprising and look for income.

Call the county welfare office if you are an American citizen. I think they can help you with expenses with the baby after it is born anyway.
