I'm not sure if any of the women answering your question has ever had their period, and if they have, then they have never taken a bath. I'm telling you the truth yes your period will stop while taking a bath the water will cause the bleeding to stop while in the tub, but shortly after you get out it will start back up again.

i dont really know how it all works. when i get in the shower or the bath im not usually bleeding although i have been heavy enuf before that i did, i think it usually kindof does but i would not suggest swimming w.o a tampon. just in case. besides what if you get out of the pool n jus want to hang out on the side for a bit you dont wnt to make a mad dash for the bathroom!

No, that is not true at all. My doctor told me that if I wanted to go swimming while i had my period to wear a tampon so nothing bad happened. Never go swimming without protection.

Your period doesn't stop. It may seem that way b/c the water washes away all the blood but it doesn't make it stop.

I have found, along with many of my friends, that your while your period doesn't stop completley, it lightens up quite a bit. I still use a tampon, but it is rarely a sheavy as normal, and many of my friends agree with this.

No, I wish! But it does seem to slow down a bit...I would not recommend getting into a pool without a tampon! It's just gross and unsanitary.

I have heard this before from Muslim swimmers who did not use tampons. But, as a nurse, I would not count on it for too long.

someone (who ever it was) only told you that in hopes you'd believe it and embarrass yourself one day. nice "friend". better re-evaluate.
