he is always on and off about one of my friends and he went out with her for a long time then she dumped him and then they have gone out for like only a day.

Well, it's not REALLY useless. I like a guy who like someone else, too. When he's off about your friend, then try to get him to notice you and like you. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't say useless. Try sticking it out and see if he shows an interest in you. He might realize that the girl he sees on and off isn't worth the hassle. Make sure he realizes you're alive and he might get interested.

its useless so yeah get a new crush and i swear that will set him off! cuz he wants 2 b liked and well yeah once he notices u then he will never stop thinking abt u and all of that stuff so yeah try that just dont hurt ur friend

Well, you never really know unless you find out if they might like you too. and breaking up and going back out doesnt mean they really like each other, but maybe that they arent ready to go back into the single world. next time they break up, make a small move and see if he responds to it. not a move like a kiss, but something like talking and flirting slightly. you dont know unless you try.

he does not seem interested in u and although u may be better 4 him if he does not have those feelings 4 u then let it be.besides dating one of ur friends ex's is tacky.find ur own man.
