this is a very serious question and I really need the words to the gospel song theres going to be a rapture I waited to last minute and i have to sing this song tomorrow please help the first verse is theres going to be a rapture in a little while i can see jesus decending from the sky the dead in christ they all shall rise im going home to see jesus by the throne on high please help me

What does rapture mean exactly?

To me, there will be a second coming of Christ. He will come to collect the righteous. The dead in Christ will rise first and then the living righteous will be caught up together with them as they all ascend to heaven.

The unrighteous dead will stay in their graves and the unrighteous living will die. They will wait a thousand years before their punishment is given to them.
