Because I know quite a # of 14,15, & 16 year old girls who are pregnant or already have a baby. Aren't they young? And shouldn't something be done???

i agree wit u girl cause it is rediculous i mean i can understand how they'll get pregnant cause its fun but girls please use protection cause once u have a kid u stop being a kid and have to start being an adult and support ur baby.

People are people my friend - it is none of our business.
As the full grown child of a teenage mom, I can only say that there is an interesting and unusual dynamic that can be had by having parents close to your own age. My mother and I are the closest of friends and she is my total hero. I could not have asked for a better mom, honestly.
There are lots of reasons for such a scenario - if you look at it from a "Grand Scheme of Things" point of view. If you believe, as I do, that each of us comes to this planet to learn something specific, you can easily see that there are some of lifes lessons that can't be learned any other way - just like there are some of lifes blessings that can't be had or earned any other way.
I, of course, waited until I was 32 to have my children (more than twice the age my mom was) and I always find it shocking to find folks under 25 having kids - to me 21 or 22 even seems too young.
Of course, I am the one who winds up blessed in this situation. I had an awesome mother as a kid - who while she was very young, worked hard and did a great job taking care of and raising me and my twin sister, I might add - followed by an awesome friendship (during a whole decade of "me" time with no children of my own), followed by a LOT of help and support during my own pregnancy and now my 2 & 6 year old have a 55 year old Grandmother who is vibrant and healthy and young enough to really enjoy running around with them - and they might have her until they have kids (I mean when I am 50, my oldest near 20, my mom will be 65 - she could be a greatgranmom, wouldn't that be great!).
Everything for a reason - and usually a darn good one.
*huh - maybe that is why she was so young. so i could have my kids late after a decade of self indulgence and she could still get to enjoy them. seems a well crafted plan somehow... in the Grand Scheme of Things.

Some girls are too broke to go to college and if they constantly in an area of violence and drop outs, they won't be inspired or motivated to try to get good grades. Plus, they could get jumped by their peers for doing tha right thang. So what tha hell, jus go ahead and try to get a rich baby daddy so support chu. If you horny and you constantly see music videos about sex, what can you do? If you don't get love from your family, you could get in a unhealthy relationship where the guy only wants you for sex, and you know it, but you need any form of love so what tha hell? You do it.

I don't think there is a problem as long as they take on their responsibilities as a parent. I'm 19 and I got pregnant when I was 17, and I took on my duties as a mother just as the older adults do.

Even though I am 14 I know a lot of girls that have babys and all of them are to young.They think they know what to do and how to do it. And yea I do think something should be done. but anything wont work until everybody starts to care.

yes something should be done. But then again what can you do about the raging hormones through out their teenage years? absolutly nothing, my best advice would be to tell them that during those years they are in the prime of their life, dont ruin it for themselves, they arent old enough or mature enough to be able to handle a child.

hell yeah. there should be some kind of law about it or something. I personally think it falls on the stupid *** parents. If you don't speak to your kids while they are young they speak to their friends and thats never a good thing.
People aren't even ashamed of themselves
When my husband and I have children they won't even be having sex until they are married and I guarantee it. Its all about morals and self respect.

Yes, I guess they don't know what a condoms. Or, they just won't wait until marrage which is kinda dumb. I mean you can use a condom or wait there are two good things to do there. Or if you don't care if your parents find out the girl just get birth control.

alot of girls would come up to me and tell me that they are pregnant this school year. if i had a dollar for how many girls came to me and told me that they were pregnant i would be rich. literally. and in my school normally when girls are pregnant they try to hide it. but not this school year, every body was showing up there swollen bellies like it was a trophy, like they wasn't ashamed. but i think this year was the year to get pregnant. even alot of teachers at my school was getting pregnant. damn!!!
