is it okay to gain a little weight when it's that "time of the month"?

Yes, it's normal.
But...to keep the water weight gain to a minimum...
Cut out as much salt in your diet as possible. Stop drinking all soda (even diet) and limit yourself to one cup of coffee per day. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day and try to eat more healthy foods, especially fruits and veggies. Exercise on a regular basis and when you do have your period, you'll look and feel much better!

What you are experiencing is bloating. Every woman goes through it during "that time of the month". Don't worry. Scientific studies say you gain 5 pounds during that time of the month, but it wears off as soon as that time is over. Don't worry, everything will be back to normal soon.

Yep. Weirdly enough, I gain like 3 whole pounds. Strange.

Darlin' you're just holding some water weight. Happened to me all the time before I had a hysterectomy. It will pass.

yep - most of it is water retention which is released at or around the time of the month

taking some garlic can help release some of it

but mostly dont worry - unless you are about to tear someones head off with it!
