The new Apple computer have been judged the best on the planet, why would anybody buy a windows machine?

Totally agree with you. I didn't buy my PC. But when I am contracting in IT, I use a laptop from work.

Most people access their email from work, and because commercial buyers get a good deal if they buy 500 PCs with Windows pre-loaded, those five hundred users they buy for are used to, trained with, and familiar with, Windows.

They are very concious that they must not damage company property by doing anything non-standard which might disrupt the working day. So they then cautiously buy what they know - often through a deal offered through corporate plans - lower-spec PCs being sold off for home use.

Mostly, people who choose to buy Apples are pretty smart. They aren't any richer than others, but they work in publishing or graphic design, and they know that they are Power-Users who can't afford to have a PC crash on them and have to reboot twice or more a day if they dare to zig instead of zag.

A friend & neighbour who knows how often I visit an internet cafe gave me his when he upgraded to a Mac and I wasn't working. He only ever buys Apples - my next one hopefully will be one of his cast-offs. There is nothing stopping people from buying the better system - it's available to them, the same programs can run on each, they have the choice. I reckon they would get a far better deal if they started buying an Apple instead.

yes they are the best computers in the world. they are quite unlike windows based machine which are most very noisy due to the multiple fans installed in them, apples uses effiecient cooling coils and a slow moving fan.
apples has less viruses attacking them versus windows based computers.
apple created many of the cool gadgets for its computer such as the ipods, and i motion webcam that until now is unvailable. yes apple is perfect but not that perfect.

if i am not mistaken apple computers is only used by 10 % of all computers users around the world. Due to apples nature of being almost indestructable to viruses (until now), rarely breaksdown or freezes, excellent multimedia hardware and software, makes it the perfect choice for writers, journaliste, teachers, movie makers, music makers and website builder. Which makes them only 10% of the worlds population.
First due to its durability and low sales apples computers are comparely more expensive than those windows based computers. Unless apples wants to share components such as motherboards or processorswith the windows based computers, prices can be low........wait.. they do... hell has frozen over... now there is apples computer with intel inside.. shocking news that was predicted to happen sooner or later.
Second of all apples have less softwares compared to windows machine, so what does other people used who does not fit the job description i mentioned above. they get a windows based machine.
So that is my 10 cent worth which i really hope get picked as best aswers :D

it all depends on your needs and what you want to do with your computer. some people still like the PC's because they are used to it and know how it works better than the Apples. It all depends on the person. Personally, if i could afford it, i would get a macbook because i like all the media functions. but i like PC's because i'm used to it as well. wish there was a computer that has everything i want and need on it...

There are too many people how there who are “Gates’ Slaves.” We learned Microsoft with a PC. It took us a while to get comfortable and competent. Some of us don’t want to learn something new, and others have the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” attitude. Either way, we are slave to Gates, and we are quite content with that position.
