Yes, they do, but not year around. There are winter and summer teams that rotate in and out. These teams are made up mostly of scientists and cartographers (map makers).

Penguins,Albatrosses,killer whales,seals ,fish ,

and quite a few scientists,on research stations for weather and to do research with the ice

but they live there in shifts ,nobody lives there permanently,apart from the penguins

Scientists live there for a few months of the year. There is no native population.

Def not - only scientists for certain periods. Remeber the poor lone soul woman scientist who self-diagnosed breast cancer and had to be air-lifted out to be treated?

No one lives there full-time. There are scientists who stay down there for months at a time to do research, so they are part-time residents, I guess.

There are no permanent residents but a number of governments maintain permanent research stations on the continent, up to a 1,000 people could be living at the station depending on the season. Hope that helped.
