Depending on where you live, it is different.
So type in your state and hometown in this website and you can figure our the time.
For example
For Miami, Florida on Sept. 23, 2006..
sunset is at 7:16 pm

Dear Robert, that would depend on where you live. East, Central, Mt. , West. United States, England , China etc..
Best thing to do is ask your parents or look at a farmers almanac

Depends on the country you are in. For example in Canada in August and September -nightfall doesn't occur until almost 10pm
