I also shave it all, and it found that any type of soap works well. Make sure that it is very wet and soapy, and use a clean, sharp razor.
Also, you might (hopefully) already be doing this, but only shave downwards!!! You cannot shave against the direction that the hair is growing or you will get lots of cuts.
I use an antibacterial cream afterwards to prevent the little white zit-like things. They are actually just built up bacterial, so the cream works well. Also applying lotion will make it soft.
Good luck

Make sure to use shaving cream and if you do shave in the shower it helps. There are shaving creams that say that they are for that area but I have not found any that I would recommend. I found that after doing it for some time you no longer get the bumps and you learn better so you don't get the cuts. Hope this helps.

Well, put your razor under hot water before shaving and use a gentle shaving creame or a gentle body wash. Then rinse with hot water. After you get out of the shower, put an uncented lotion down there like Dove.

The bumps are irritated or ingrown hair folicules. This is very common.
To prevent this:
don't shave every day (try every other)
use a dipilatory for your hair type
wax instead

Glad I'm not the only one. I just use Neosporin on the cuts. I'd love to know the best answer to this myself.
