A certain part of your consciousness has been dormant for some reason. Usually it happens due to some repressed information about a trauma in the past. For some reason your girlfriend triggered the associations of the dormant part.
Another possibility is that you have only now become aware that you have taken another step in the cycle of reincarnations. Perhaps now you are becoming more open to your powers and some memories surfaced, which explains the estrangement. If this is the right explanation, you are not feeling strange because of your girl, but because of your own awakening and realization of being in a different body from the one you remember. I am not sure which is the correct reason. Hope this helps any.

Are you having a nightmare or strange dreams?? Are you going through a very stressful time in your life or experiencing anxiety during the day? That could be the cause. How long have you been with this girl. Maybe you are not use to someone in your bed every night yet and it just freaks you out until you get fully awake enough to see who this person is. I bet that you are not fully awake and just are getting up while you are still in sleep mode, and then freak out b/c you realize you are back in reality. The only shock may be that you feel weird to be waking up once you Have your robe on--then you feel silly for freaking out about it or being scared.
I really don't know your history or even about your relationship with this girl. Maybe you two have been having problems and you really wish she wasn't there or you think she has left --when you are asleep. Maybe your dream is a sign of something. --Like you are not ready for commitment or maybe it is caused by previous abuse. You never know. So, if it goes on for a long time and gets disturbing--go see a counselor and ask them about it. They can be of help to you. Wish you all the best!!

It seems like you're not fully awake when that happened and it took a while for your brain to kinda like "wake up". It's probably a sign of stress or sleep disorder. Try to relax during the day, settle down before you go sleep. If it still persist, it's better that you visit a doctor.

This is not a dream analysis issue. This is a sleep pattern issue. I'm not a sleep expert, but, it sounds like that you are being woken up from a deep sleep stage abruptly. Perhaps you are suffering from sleep apnea. Go to a sleeping clinic and have a work up done.

It sounds like a sleep disorder. Or maybe your conscience is telling you something. I can't answer your conscience. You need to think about the relationship and where it is going. Go to church and find a councelor to help you out.

Perhaps you need a sleep study done. I had one before they are painless. See a doctor about his issue.

One strong possibility is that your subconscious is telling you that you are not with the person you will be with forever.
