There could be a lot of reasons for it:
I sometimes over analyze a situation, when I know the answer/result and don't like it... so I have to be missing something! so I keep thinking it over and over and over.
Than there is the fear of making a decision, if you never get to an answer... because you are analyzing it, than you don't have to worry about the decision.
Be supportive.. My advice... do a "quick and dirty analyze with her." What ever it is... give her one piece of paper... maybe large index card and let her go to town on it with all her ideas for 3 minutes... than let her discuss it for two... usually our first gut feeling is right... we are just scared about making a wrong decision.

I know what you mean,i feel like it is a control issue myself of trying to prove that they are always right and if your like me,i hate to be questioned over every little thing.Your right it is annoying! I would talk to your friend and say hey this bothers me,and that not everything needs to be studied and explained.I had to,and my friend just laughed it off,but i was serious, and finally i just started annoying her back by analyzing things back to her, till it finally wasn't a issue anymore,it just seemed to stop.I really don't know what would be the best way to handle your friend in this matter, due to not knowing much about her,but you might want to try it.Good Luck to you!

I'm one of those "go with the flow" people.
I find people like your friend annoying as well.
She should lighten up and stop worrying about things that she has no control over.
I have my opinions on politics and religion, but don't like discussing or arguing with anyone about it.... I accept that people think differently -- Even if they ARE wrong .....LOL

she sounds a bit obsessive and like a bit of a perfectionist.
She could have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)
or maybe she has anxiety problems
