good question but did you really think you'd get a straight answer? (no pun intended)
as for what "?" said, I had to agree with him/her.......I live in a very Mormon town......I'm also very out...to those that don't really know me, they are barely polite, but the ones that I've had to work with or have been neighbors with, they are slowly changing their minds about homosexuality...I think the GLBT community need to live their lives as though we were put on this earth to teach, not preach.....if we live our lives and actually BE good Christians without saying anything, it can slowly show others that we are not the monsters the church has made us out to be......let the ones who are frightened of us meet us, see how we live & love, see that we are just like them......take each opprotunity to show by example.........I also work in the Mental Health field.......when a client gets hostile and begins yelling, we are taught to speak slower and quietly, the brain will try to listen and the 'yellor' begins to hear the 'yellie'........If homophobes & bible-thumpers hang around this section use it as a way to begin a dialogue..........

No true Christian hates you...

God doesn't hate you anymore than He hated me. He only hates SIN! He hated my sins and He hates ALL sin.

Your sexual choice is sin by His Word, the same as any other sexual sin, one is NO greater than the other.

Some Christians, sadly enough, because of the agenda to give homosexuals special rights, tend to gang up on homosexuality and turn a blind eye to all the heterosexual sins in the world. In my opinion, pornography is the #1 sin in America right now, and I really wish the church would be more adimant about it!

All that matters is eternity, and I pray that you would come to the knowledge and freedom from sin that Christ can bring. He did not create you this way, that is a lie, and even the scientists know it. Whatever in your life that caused you to turn from the natural I am truly sorry happened, but NOTHING is worth eternity without God...

I agree. Obviously people who are ignorant enough to think that being "gay" is bad or going to go away, are in need for an update. There have always been homosexual people and there always will be. It doesn't bother me if two people fall in-love and they're both women or both men. The more love in this world the better, and I think that is what we need to focus on.

It's the only way I've been able to discuss my point of view with gay people with out being interrupted by a ticked off gay person shouting irrationally that I'm just prejudiced,or that I'm a homophobe.Also...I would like to point out that I don't nor have I ever hated gay people.I just don't agree with homosexuality.I don't understand it,and I think it's unnatural.

I'm sorry that people hate you for your lifestyle. People can be cruel in general, I don't have feelings for a woman and never had, but Isn't it strange that people want to dictate how you live. Maybe they are hanging because they are curious.

Complain to Yahoo, they mix up the categories. Many times people don't realize the switch and just answer. That's even the reason I'm bothering to answer this one! How about excuse me?

homophobes and "ex-gays" are in denial of their own feelings; straight people who think that homosexuality is "wrong" usually live by a strict doctrine that tells them how to live and what to do at every turn in life. it's difficult for a homophobe to accept how it feels to be a homosexual, and its difficult for someone who lives by a doctrine to accept that some people live by their own instincts. its natural for people to be scared or angry at their own feelings when they don't understand them. it's even normal to want to "convert" others who accept what makes them different to something more "understandable".
Here's a thought for all my fellow queers; if we expect to be accepted, we have to be prepared to accept. that doesn't mean we have to ignore homophobia; it means we have to accept that these poor people have no ******* clue whats going on at all, and they are coming to us for help. they just don't know how to ask! (or have any idea that they need help, for that matter.) we can all see that, right? we need these people to um... I'm sure we can use them for something. uh... house cleaning?... making moonshine?

my point: don't take this **** so personally... be strong and don't let it get to you. we can't honestly exile ********* because we are still trying to get out of exile ourselves. we are actually trying to be counted as equals in their (our) society. it is helpful... believe it or not... when they come in and remind us of the bullshit we have to deal with in this world. We all need to educate ourselves so we can intelligently answer to these people when they confront us: gay isn't a lifestyle; it's a life.
