For me it goes back farther then 2000 when Bush stole the election, It goes back to Bill Clinton's time, I saw a mans reputation soiled by politics, he was investigated his entire time in office they went back 20 years and didn't find anything illegal. I think to this day that Monica was a set up, by the repuglican party. His response as far as I am concerned was a reasonable one. He didn't want to bring Hillary into it. I really can't blame him. He was accused of this and that and every damn thing that could be imagined. All not true. So I have decided to attack the repuglican party every chance I can, I read, I study and I speak out. There are many Americans that feel as I do. I just wish that Bush was not making it so damn easy, for America's sake, he has been the worst president I have ever seen and I go back as far as Eisenhower.

Our Constitution begins with the words, "We the people...." We are the government, not the politicians! The division of main stream Ameirca, as you call it, is totally the responsibility of main stream America. We buy the spin and the lies fed to us by both sides of the political spectrum and than all we want to do is sit back and whine that the menand women we elect are nothing but a bunch of spin merchants and liars.
Wake up! It's not the politicans' fault, it's our fault for electing them.
Here in Virginia, we elected a new governor last year. Most of the campaign centered arround one primary theme, each candidate was trying to convince the voters here in Virginia that he was lesser of two evils. The Republican candidate basically ran a campaign that tried to convince the voters we should vote for him because he wasn't near the scumbag the Democrat candidate was. The Democrat candidate basically responded with a campaign that said he wasn't really a scumbag at all. Neither candidate gave the voters one solid reason to vote for them; they were primarily concerned with trying convince the voters to not vote for their opponent.
I have to laugh at the Democrat leadership in the House of Representatives right now. They have effectively announced they are going to get rid of all the unethical and corrupt behavior in their ranks so that can go after all the unethical and corrupt behavoir of the Republicans in the fall. They don't get it. Give me a reason to vote for your candidates! Stand for something! But no, they keep beating the same drum, "Vote for us because the Republicans are bigger scum bags than we are!"
I also have to laugh at the last two Presidential elections. As a country we sat through almost 8 years of hearing, "It's not about his personal life!" All in an effort to defend the most indefensible behavior of President Clinton while he was in office. But these same people, who spent 8 years crying that a candidate's personal life should have nothing do to with his ability to govern, the instant George Bush was nominated, started yelling about George Bush's drinking problem from years back, about his out of control daughters and how if he couldn't govern them, how could he govern the country, and how Dick Cheney shouldn't be vice president because his daughter was a lesbian.
So to answer your questions, yes, we are Americans. Unfortunately, many of us seem to have lost the ability to think for ourselves. We only want to hear what "our man" is telling us and don't want to take the time to find out what the truth really is.
One prime example of this is the idea that George Bush stole the election in 2000. That is utter nonsense, and anyone who takes the time to look at the facts will realize it. Every recount that has been conducted, even the ones done by the liberal press at their own epxense, shows that President Bush won a majority of votes in Florida in 2000.
We have allowed the politicians to take control of our government. It's time we stood up and told the politicians that we are tired of them playing petty politics with our country, and we want it back.
Find out what your candidate stands for. Is he or she interested in making American strong, or are they only interested in being able to vote them selves a pay raise every two years and get that big fat pension if they manage to stay if office for more than 4 years.

we are so busy with our iPods and tv and video games and facebook, that we do not have the time to succeed in this. I see what you recommend. The outrageous garbage that politicians submit is amazingly almost in no way protested with assistance from the individuals like it grow to be once. highly on condition that they made it unlawful to protest outdoors a progression the position an reputable is interior. All because they are afraid he receives shot at. we are able to protest peacefully, would not count number whos contained in the Capitol progression or not.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so sick of the partisan insults that divide our country today. We are loyal Americans. We have family who have served in the past or are serving in the military now. What ever happened to reasonable discussion?
