IGNORANCE, I despise anything that is proprietary such as apple, mac, and other things that must be used with a certain item. But I got an I-pod never had any troubles, i am very rough with mine, but heres the difference. I READ MY MANUAL. Inside that packet of papers nicely stapled together is all one needs to know on how to operate these devices, but most adolescents today have more knowledge than Brittanica's 32 books, and therefore this paper booklet known as instructions are only good for packing materials. If most people read the manual, then 95% of the problems would not occur.

I love them and they are awesome. The engineering is great. My iPod mini is having trouble with the hold button but it is old. About three years. New ones like nanos and videos should not have many bugs and errors. A lot of people must be dropping them or screwing them up some way. It is not Apples fault.

Because people aren't careful and they download illegally about things they didn't pay for, or they don't care about them and the iPod's don't get taken care of. The Zen is almost exactly like an iPod. Don't come complain to us when something happens to your Zen, because then you'll be like the boy who cried wolf.

Because like everything else in the man's world of technology and bigger toys, the product wasn't tested thoroughly. The creator was in too big a hurry to start rakin' in the dough.
Why does WORD crash regularly? Why does the web mess up just when you need it? Why can't your cell phone keep a signal??
All because some man wants to flood the market and make big bucks while you hunt for patches, updates, bug repairs, etc.

Yep. Good point. Maybe because they look good, and ipod's are popular. In my ipod nano, when i connect it to my computer, my mouse doesn't work! So my dad tried to fix it, so he couldn't. So then I don't know how to put songs into my ipod, which sucks, and i only have like 235 songs. And I don't know how to solve the problem. :(

It's only the rich people's iPods that "suck" because they dont give a care about expensive items. If it breaks they just get daddy to buy them a new one. I'm not rich and my iPod is still alive and working just the way it was when i bought it.

It's not "so great." It's just popular. There's a big difference.
