Sometimes, when you're under stress, you don't get your period until later. Also, ii it's been 5 years or less since you first got your period, it is completely, absolutely normal for it to be irregular. I'm going through the same thing, I just got my period yesterday after almost 40 days. Good luck!

I was exactly like you...minus the child. But I used to have periods that lasted forever or didnt come at all...my cycle was so unpredictable and my doctor too said there was nothing wrong with me, instead he just kept switching me one B.C. pill to the next. What finally fixed my problem was getting off of the pill all together. Although I'm not a medical professional by any means, I do believe that I was hormonally imbalanced and the pill was just making it worse. Something to discuss with your doctor!

If you're not pregnant it could be that you're just under a lot of stress. Also if you're very physically active it can keep the periods away. My year-round-athlete sister didn't get her first period till she was 14. Me and my other sister got ours at 11.
also you didn't say how old you were. Periods are wacky when you're younger.

If everything is okay (as per your dr) just relax... stress can postpone periods. I have also heard that if you have recently began a fitness regimen that can also postpone things... be patient!

you did not mention how old you are. if you are just starting your menses this is normal. and the doctor says its ok and you have rulled out pregnacy so i suspect you are having irregular periodsor you are having alot stress in your life that can mess you up.

get a second opinion and go to a gynecologist, if you don't already have one. you just may have problems with your menstral cycle..if you in fact are NOT pregnant.
