It's still early in the season. Any number of things could happen. Should they win the National League pennant, I am positive they will not face the Yankees. The Red Sox, White Sox, Indians, and a few others would be more feasible candidates.

I believe if they stay healthy they will be a serious threat to win the National League. As far as the world series may want to wait until they get through the playoffs?

It could be the mets year only because the lack of the Atlanta braves pitching staff. I do believe the mets will win their division and maybe get to the world series. But that will depend on their own pitching staff. Tom Glavine is doing well now, but he is in his forties and the dog days of august are still to come. Look for the mets to add another pitcher soon. As to who they would play if they get to the world series.... It will not be the yanks.. The pitchers are too old......... I would look for the white soxs... again.

The Mets are a solid team and will see post-season play without question. Whether they make it to the WS is another matter. The playoffs are full of good teams, and anything can and does happen.

No.I think an American League team can beat them in the World Series but no National League is going to stop them.

The Mets are unstoppable this year, they want to win & they're having fun doing it.
I would like to see a Subway Series, and there is a good chance of it. I think, though, that Detroit may go all the way; like the Mets, they want to win & they seem to be enjoying themselves winning, not obsessing over it like the Yanks & Both Sox.

I think they'll make the playoffs alright but all bets are off after that. Who would they play in the World Series? Ha, I think the Cardinals will play the Tigers in the World Series.

I am a die hard Met Fan
mets need to get another starting pitcher before the deadline to compliment Pedro and Tom. If pedro or Tom gets hurt they are only 2 pitchers the Mest can hang on... They have young players DAvid Wright Jose Reyes the 2 carlos if pitching doesn't help them their dangerous lineup will carry them

They will make the playoffs and probably win the division this year but I'm not sure about the World Series just yet.
