To have an affair and lie about it, while presiding over the biggest period of economic growth,
OR
To begin a war that can't be won, spy on your own country and lie about it, bring the world to the possibility of a nuclear standoff, all the while supporting hatred and intolerance towards a group of citizens?

No 1 didnt affect the whole world, it just gave us something to laugh about.
No 2 has devastated the whole world.
