Girl, i was feeling the same way when i was pregnant with my now 7 month old beautiful baby girl. I was very afraid of losing her because i had lost my first pregnancy as well. But you're almost 12 weeks, so the chances that you will miscarry are GREATLY decreased at this point. Very few pregnancies are miscarried at the point you are at now. The first three months are the scariest, but from here on out is the part you can enjoy. As long as you're eating well, you shouldn't worry about your baby's health either. And in the case that your baby may end up with health problems, you'll still love him or her anyway, right? The fact that you're worried about all this doesn't make you crazy (as i'm sure you may feel) it just means that you're being a mother. See, the instincts are already kicking in! Telling you to try not to worry is useless, trust me i've been where you are. But take me as an example. My daughter is healthy and growing more every day. And if your husband will listen, try to talk your fears out with him. You may be surprised to find he's worried about the same things, but don't feel bad if he isn't. Most fathers are still trying to grasp the concept of fatherhood at this point. You'll be a mother before you know it, so try to enjoy your pregnancy while you can.

I think the stress of worrying will cause you to lose the baby if you get too worried. Just do the healthy things you can do being pregnant and visiting the doctor. If you lose the baby, it was meant to be. I know it's not comforting to hear but, sometimes, there are reasons we do not know. Just be positive and looking forward to your baby in the near future.

Worrying too much and losing sleep is a recipe for problems.
Start focusing on the future and planning for the baby - pick out furniture, curtains, a color scheme. Plan for a child-proof home - spend time getting plug covers, putting away low breakables from coffee tables and such. If you must worry, worry about how to make a safe environment and work on that - you won't have time to worry about anything else!

Hi Jean,
Just relax. Obviously this is your first baby. Everything will be fine. You must be in a happy and jouful mood at all times. Thi will ensure that your baby will have a stress-free life after its birth.
And pray. All things work for good to them that trust the Lord. God bless.

I was a basket case the first couple months of pregnancy and the last couple of months. I guess it is natural. I kept seeing commercials talking about illnesses and accidents and diseases. I kept asking what the chances were that you would have a healthy baby???? Relax, take care of yourself and try to enjoy your pregnancy. That's the best you can do. God will take care of the rest. Best wishes.

As long as you check in with the doctor on a regular basis, stay healthy and stay away from drugs, Alcohol, smoking and too much caffeine and you should be fine.
Talk to a doctor if you're feeling worried

Just pray to God that your baby will be healthy and believe that threw him all things are possible. I know I have only one kidney that works at 30% and things don't look good but with God on my side my baby will be blessed. I'm only 9 weeks.
