No because the ideals of good and evil are purely human values since mermaids are considered other we could not hold them to our values. they may commit acts that to us seem evil or wrong but it is what the act is to them that would determine their veiws. and for the record I do believe they exist. oh side note the Sirens are not in anyway shape or form realted to mermaids. the Sirens are goddesses in their own rights while mermaids are not (check out the Theogony by Hesiod)

how is a woman who lures men to the depths of the ocean to die good??? besides, if mermaids did try to walk the earth pimps and strip club owners would be killing each other to get them in their stables, feminists would be trying to turn them into feminazi terrorists, the christains would be trying to get them to cover up and the muslims would be trying to kill them for walking around half naked and singing in public.

im sure they would be jus like everyone els. they r suppose to be playful prankster like creature ne how arnt they, sum may see that as evil but out of every few dozen or so you would have those incredibly sweet ones. kinda like casper the ghost.
