I listen to books on CD several hours a day and would like to be able to listen to some on mp3..since this can put a whole book on one cd. So need recommendations for a good very durable player. Battery life is not a big factor since I have rechargable ones. Hope it is ok for a old lady to post on here ..you guys rock !!

All of the Panasonic CD/MP3 players are great. They start at around $40 and and if you play a little more, you can get one with a remote with a display on it. I've had a Panasonic CD player for almost 10 years with no problems.
