Morally, if we were to universally follow The Law given to Man by his Maker, then it is a resounding "YES!"
However, our man-made laws have yet to acquiesce to being held accountable and liable to such a MORALITY clause...

Defiantly not. I am not mean or cruel to any animal, however I do not believe that people should be punished the same as they would be if the crime had been against a human being. Especially those who are incompetent and can't take care of themselves let alone an animal.

yes i think so. animals cannot complain and they cant call out for help, so if anything people should be punished harsher for abusing or killing animals. obviously if you're a farmer it's not bad, your job is to kill the animals, but if the animals are treated poorly, that would go into hurting them, and they should be punished. same with animal testing..i dont think we have a right to abuse helpless animals, especially for stupid things like makeup..

No they should not be punished the same. Killing animals is our nature as we are carnivores. Sometimes people don't have a choice but to kill. People don't understand that animals are like humans. Maybe you should educate people to have some respect insted of making stupid questions. bleh

You would think so but sadly the Justice System really don't give a **** about animals. There is supposed to be laws that protect abused and neglected animals but no one takes the time to enforce them. I think any kind of animal abuse or neglect should be treated as equal as if it happened to a human.

Depends on exactly what happened, and the species it was done to.
Incidently...... ain't it kind of funny how a group like P.E.T.A who support this kind of thing (but actually cause animals more harm than good, inbetween sponsoring acts of terrorism against restaurants & medical laboratories) are currently getting the book thrown at them for Abusing & Killing Animals.

Hell I would hurt a person before an animal anyday.
People can deserve it sometimes animals don't.
