The two mechanical pencils on my desk are 5 1/2 inches long and the 'regular' pencils in my desk caddy are 7 inches long.

well it depends in da brand and how u sharpen it..
but unsharpen pencils sizes
7-8 inches..

depending if it's new one or used one....if new...it could be just about 6 to 6 1/2 inches.... if it's been sharpen and used....the shortest will be about 1 1/2 inches.
