Shawshank Redemption. I have seen this movie at least 40 times, probably more than 50. I have lost count. I am working on becoming a filmmaker and this is my all-time number one movie. It's the perfect movie about life. Often we feel trapped like in a prison and then one day some of us break free and it's just an amazing thing. The acting is great. Direction is good. It's also a Stephen King story and I am fan of his work. I have also seen the Natural more than 20 times. I love that movie too, not just because of the baseball, but also because it's a story about life as well. Sometimes we do stupid things in our past and we learn to deal with it and live with it and move on to live our lives in a good and/or happy way. Great movies.

I've seen "Cast Away" so many times, I can't count. I'm not really sure why. I think it's just that there are very few movies in which a large part of the movie emphasizes a man interacting with nature instead of with other men. It has some perspective to it ... like reminding us that there are parts of our world that exists completely and beautifully on their own without humans, and if a humans arrive there, they don't really fit in. Kind of the way that humans as a whole are interacting with the entire world right now.

The movie I've seen the most...well there are two of them.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles...at least 40 times...I love the rapport, or lack thereof between Steve Martin and John Candy. I have seen this movie so many times I can quote every line from it. The wort part is I still laugh hysterically when John Candy waves his sock in Steve Martin's face on the plane.

What About Bob? Don't ask me why...but I have seen this movie at least 40 times as well. I love the neurosis that Bob (Bill Murray) suffers from and I can kind of relate to him. Richard Dreyfuss is fabulous as the reserved and supposedly calm Dr. Leo Marvin.

The Blues Brothers. I'm not sure how many times. More than 20. Because it's incredibly funny and cool.

What About Bob. I've seen this only four times, but I think I could watch it a million times.

Monty Python's The Holy Grail, enough times to know it by heart. Because I am an incredible geek.

The color purple.
@ least 200 times.
Because it breaks down the color bearer.
Watched it with my Nana And she said it was the same for all women. Even when she was a little girl. My Great grandma, was beaten for nothing.
If you have not seen it you should. Watch it in a quiet place,
And watch it closely. ,watch with a opened mind. And then you
will just see women, being abused and ma-by it will be a movie you watch a few times. I'm a German: Black foot. Woman, I'm 48 years old,I lived through a lot of the same things that the movie
covers. In the 70s and early 80s. Oregon did not have spousal
abuse, in those years.

I've seen Cruel Intentions, the first one, about 20 times. Im compelled to watch it every time because its just so raw & raunchy, the fact that the stepsibilings try to control each other, and want each other (which is nasty by the way) then he comes to realize that life isnt about games. And Michelle Gellar's character is still trying to be in control and doesnt know when to let go. Its the best!
