Yes it does. Look at the Minuteman project. Just a few people banded together and stood strong against something illegal that was going on. Word got out about what was going on and now there are chapters in many, many states. The politicians have started listening to "we the people" because more of us "average Americans" are paying more attention to what is going on. We have written more letters, made more phone calls to our lawmakers than ever before. They are scared. They are starting to pay attention to us again. But we ALL need to act now and keep calling and writing. Lou Dobbs has been instrumental is helping the common people keep abreast on what our politicians are doing. Join us!

Yes we the people got the politicians off their a** with all of our emails, calls and letters, regarding immigration, they were starting to cave in to the small minority of Mexicans marching, but all Americans from every state expressed an opinion and scared the sh*t out of them, and if we keep it up and show them at election time by voting their as*es out, the next ones will listen even more.

Not really. They're all (well, almost) selfish crooks that care about power more than they care about the people they serve.

Unless... the people rise up by the masses and largely threaten the power of the government (or the represenative). Then they'll listen.

"We the people" are the citizens of the United States. You can have an opinion, but you also have to vote. You also have to realize that the majority wins.
