mmm, how steamy are we talking?! Well, if you feel guilty then its best to discuss it with your partner, maybe throw it in a conversation as a joke. If it seems just odd and your just like 'whatever' then forget it, maybe e-mail that person back and tell them that its not cool, this is my situation and its staying this way, (make sure you get a draft in case your partner is the shupa jealous type and doesnt believe you when you tell them you replied in disgust) and if none of the above works then oh well...

I would not show it to my man. I would print it out and march right up to my co-worker's desk and ask him about it. It may be that someone else did it on this guys computer. Or he may be a pervert or really like you. Plus he may not know you have a man, or he may not care. So I would find out --by asking HIM. That would be the best thing to do. If you do not like this person at all or if he has ever been rude in the past, then you may be able to think about sexual harassment--tell your boss. If he was just playing and he is harmless or whatever, then you could let him know your situation. It just depends on what he says and then you must decide what to do about it, even if it is to just laugh and ignore him.

I definitely would not show it to him -- what's to gain by doing that? You may ignite some jealous rage, and he may do something to the old acquaintance or think differently about you. Then again, if he's that kind of guy, you would be better off learning that now rather than later. Even if he's mild-tempered, I don't see what good could come of telling him about an insignificant email from some other guy. Unless you WANT to make him jealous, of course. There are better ways to get his attention if that's what you're thinking.

Hell yeah I'd show it to my man! And then let him sit there and watch while I told the acquaintance in no uncertain terms that I am interested! There is a fine line that no one should ever cross with someone in a committed relationship. That's bull! But then again, my man KNOWS I can handle myself in situations like that.

I would ignore it. He's probably some stupid guy that can't get none anymore and figures he can get you. Or he was just plain drunk and high and thought it would be a funny thing to do.
If it didn't have your name at the top though or anywhere in the e-mail, he could've sent it to the wrong address on accident.
But I would definantly not show it to my man... He would probably get super pissed and think you and him were up to something because it takes two to cyber.

I've seen this situation quickly get out of hand. Best thing is to discuss it with your partner, put it out in the open. Then, if more mail comes or phone calls, he won't find out that way and you won't have complicated matters by holding back.

i think i would question why he's writing a steamy email if there was never anything between you and him to begin with. i think i would ignore it, or tell him thanks but no thanks, find someone else.
