You want to pack simple because vacation is about having fun, relaxing, and LOOKING CUTE! But especially if you meet someone while your there... you don't want to look like you are trying too hard on vacation.
Bring:
A couple of bracelets

1 necklace-so people can remember something about you when they meet you

Don't go buy new clothes, becuase even though you might feel tired of them... the people on your vacation have never seen them on you!

Bring 4 different hair accessories

Pack a lot of clothes that you can layer... like two t-shirts that look good with eachother, or tanks.... that way you can get 3 different outfits out of the same clothes.

Now that's a good packing tip!!

You should also bring maybe a skirt/dress... more on the casual side, but if you go out to dinner one night, you want to make a good impression to whoever may walk by.

MOST IMPORTANT:::
have fun!!

I have to travel a lot and my secret is to try to keep 2-3 color combos that go well together. Like black, tan and white. Black slacks - which can be dressy for a nice restaraunt with a dressy top - or more casual with sweater. The thing is whatever you wear on the bottom should match at least two tops and each top should match two bottoms. Then you can swap them around depending on where you are going. And try to keep to just two pair of shoes - walking and dressy.

Always pack a light sweater, even though it is spring, you never know when you might run into a cool evening or a lot of air conditioning.

Use every inch of your suitcase - all the pockets, etc. Most hotels will provide an iron if you need one.

Uh - first, could you learn to spell? "mechon thoes" i.e. is actually mention those - okay? How would we know what the temperature would be - we don't even know what it will be here.
Thanks for telling us about the 10 points - I never would have known that. If you can only take one suitcase - make it a big one. Take a nightshirt, one pair each of jeans and shorts, one change of underclothes [you can rinse the others out at night] an uncrushable skirt and a couple of Ts. Buy what you need, you should have enough room in your suitcase and you will know what you need better when you get there. Plus everyone loves to shop on a vacation.

I would suggest buying any garments by Susana Monaco. She makes great knitwear that doesn't wrinkle. I'm a size 4 and usually wear a small, so go accordingly with that to your specific size. You can buy it from shopbop.com or just type in "Susana Monaco" on yahoo and you'll get a lot of different sites. I would also suggest wearing tennis shoes when you'll be walking around alot, Puma and Saucony make cute sneakers! Bring basic pieces like jeans, pants, a skirt and capris and make sure they are in neutral colors like white, black or khaki because then you can pair them with any color top. For a cheaper alternative, Banana Republic and Ann Taylor are good. Don't bring an iron or any electrical stuff unless you have a converter because Europe has different electrical outlets than us. Bring one nice pair of heels, bronze is very popular and generally goes with anything and maybe some sandals. Dress comfortably and mix and match your garments to make several different outfits out of only a few basic pieces.

If you are going to the alps, bring something warm. Limit your packing list to essentials, and only bring what works with everything. Jeans and plain pants are a good start, and layering is always a cool way to keep warm. If you plan on buying anything on your trip, make sure that you have room for it. Or you could UPS it. Remember to bring one or two knock-out pieces for special occasions (like a sequin top or a pair of nice, comfy, totally confidence inspiring shoes that also happen to make you look good (i-e miracles)) and you will be ready to go. have fun and don't lose anything. ^-^
