Writing a letter won't get you too far - what is the problem you are having, and are you still under warranty?

You're first step is to go to the Apple Store or reseller where you purchased the device. If you ordered it directly from Apple, call the Apple Store at 1-800-MY-APPLE and they'll connect you. If you have the original Invoice/Packing Slip, another number may appear on there.

This is the main iPod Support page: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/

To request service, go to this page, select your country and enter your serial number: http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/

This is the iPod Discussions page, where you can search prior questions to see if anyone else has the same problem and how it was resolved (you'll also have better luck asking your question there than here): http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=146

Go to apple in person they will fix it or give you a new working one on the spot!

I had to do that with my ipod after spending hours trying to fix it. It was very hard to find instructions on-line and not all the information you need came in the box (when it comes to problems).

There was no charge for checking the ipod or giving me a new one in it's place, free.

Keep in mind that Apple are VERY unhelpful in terms of support for their products. They want you to pay $200.00 just to repair an in warranty ipod. The apple.com/contact should work, but just be prepared for them to stand behind their product whether it is broken or not.

Call 1-800-275-2273 for technical assistance. Apple offers complimentary support to eligible customers.

This is why people tell you to keep the instructions, warranty, and contact info that comes in the box with the equipment. Next time you will remember to keep this stuff. Throw this one away, and go buy another.

look in the manual that came with it. You screw up in the first place by buying an apple product anyway.
