The only answer I have figured out that makes sense is to help and learn from one another. If our purpose is to accumulate wealth, just eat and survive, propagate the species, or any oft-mentioned answer, that seems rather pointless ultimately. However, helping others, family, friends, animals, even Republicans;P makes the world a better place and I think our goal as inhabitants of this planet is to make life better for others. If we all have the same goal and attitude, how great would life be??!!

we are alive because we are not dead , we are supposed to answer your question at this very moment. we are on earth because we are no on serpo . wwe are here today to answer you. there is life because you learn that there is also death , you will know but we will still help you figure it out .
now your next question is that why i answer like that ? but its what we need to do " help others and expect help from them" as soon as we are here on earth. im not sure if its a choice to be alive but im sure its a choice to help others .
we are supposed to do something in our life before we die ... say for example : you will die at the age of 60 , the span between your first day TO year 60 is very long . you have to accumulate that or else you will find it hard and stupid to wait until 60 years .
im sure it is our responsible to do something from the day we are here until the day we die , we are really here to continue the breeding og human kind, if life itself ends then you can expect that we will be the last accumulator of time on earth and life itself .
there is no need to fear death , or else you will live fearing death most of the seconds .. it is understood that as the second you know you are alive (baby born) we expect that someday you a second will come and you'll be part of the dead ..
and so we are here not to die but to accumulate that seconds of our life. its our responsibility to do that , no one else can spend that seconds in your life but you . remember its 60 years .. if you know what counting is then you better not start ...
from the bible's view , we are here to do GOD's will , but not to the extent that you cannot decide yourself , you can , thats what great about it ..
in science i dont know , but i prefer GOD's version , think about following some ideas that are generated only by humans .. but GOD's view is not an option either .. it is what it it , and you will understand life's meaning when you grow old .. till then you are welcome to ask GOD after you leave this life and face him ..

He has watched for your birth since the beginning of time. Ask Him why you are here and what your purpose is. If you're sincere He will show you His plan for your life.

We are here to experience and learn things so our soul can grow. God can't experience things so he does it through us. We all have different paths so we can all learn different lessons. Read some books written by Sylvia Browne. Her answers make a lot of sense to me. She helped me after my Daddy died and I was so sad and tired of living. All better now!
