I know hundreds and thousands... no joke. I belong to two turtle chat forums with thousands of members each. Snakes and lizards are most popular by far, but the turtle hobby is quite popular and a huge business.

As for people I know and I have met who keep turtles, about 70-80 people. I keep over 20 turtkes right now. I used to breed and cared for over 75 different turtles and tortoises.

My friend has a turtle and she loves it. She says turtles are great pets to have.

I know of 2. Many people stopped getting turtles when they connected turtles with salmonella.

We had a couple turtles in our pond. But they ran away from home that's OK though cuz they do eat baby fish.

whoever stole my large toroise my son bought me 10 yrs ago has my pet tortoise....

I had her 10 yrs i had her outside in her & my box tutle's outdoor recreation area and someone came and took them at night...
they lived in there for the summer so they could eat night crawlers....and other night bugs...
