Hit the escape key to see if the logo turns off and an error message appears - it would help diagnose your problem. Try starting in safe mode (f8 while booting). If it does start in safe mode then you have to determine what software is causing your problem. Start with the anti-virus program, do start-run then msconfig & uncheck the anti virus stuff then reboot. Keep doing that (turn on what you turned off and turn off something else) until it boots normally, then you can figure out where the problem is. If it does not boot in safe mode you can try reloading the OS. You will also have to reload all the programs.

Try booting in safe mode (F8). When you boot it will ask you to fix your computer using System Restore, say "Yes". Select a date to restore your computer to the date before you were experiencing this problem.

Try booting in safe mode (f8) and if you can't do anything with that, try reloading the operating system if you can or take it to get repaired.
