Sad to say this, all answers in this question are totallllllllllllllly wrong.
The sentence that the question is asking, it means that we, the people, declare independency from the Great Britian royalty government, and form a country here in North America. It also means that we have formed a stronger military to keep this country free from tyrants and emperor from taking control of the colony. If you have heard of Yankee's song, they are the first athem ever to sing in the USA during the American Revolution War. In War of 1812, Britian once again attacks USA (American Revolution War II: The Attack of the Britians), and some soldiers or sailor have been captured on the British ship. After we won the war, and the cloud clears, American flag is still there, which signals American's victory. The captured sailor or soldier wrote the national anthem called "Star-Spangled Banner", and it became the USA's official national anthem. We still sings the song "Star-Spangled Banner" today.
War in Iraq and Afghanistan has nothing to do with the sentence or its like, it has something to do with War on Terror, so it does not qualify to be part of the Star-Spangled Banner athem.

Geez....what do they teach kids in school now days???
Spanglish is a term used to refer to a mixture of English and Spanish. Whether or not it is a langauge is highly doubtful...I would simply refer to it as slang...or code switching if you're into linguistics.
Those words are PART of the National Anthem, entitled "The Star Spangled Banner". Perhaps what you are vaguely referring to is the translation of the American National Anthem into Spanish which was talked about recently during the height of the immigration issue a few months back.
Whether or not America is truly the land of the free and the home of the brave is debatable to many of us...Americans and others as well. To me, someone who is brave doesn't kill innocent people just to make more money off his own oil wells, nor does he send others to do it for him.
As for free, yes, we do have freedoms that others do not share. However, I don't believe in making other people feel guilty for being somewhat free just because some people CHOSE to join the military. If they made that choice, then that was their choice. No one, myself included made that choice to "keep others free". Give me a break...they do it to make a living, to get money for school, to learn a trade, etc, etc...not for the sake of other people...

Land of the free bacause they make everyone believe they're free and home of the brave because beaurcrats recruit the poor man to fight their wars, the poor people being the bravest of course, because how many congressmans children do you see dying in Iraq? And Spangled being a past tense verb describing how the stars look on the flag of our country.

sTAR spangled banner has nothing to do with Spanglish it's in reference to our national anthem and our flag which has stars hence "star spangled banner." Didn't you study history in school or are you just stupid?
