x = a(y - k)^2 + h

x = (1/16)(y - 2)^2 - 4

a = (1/16)
k = 2
h = -4

a = 1/(4p)
(1/16) = 1/(4p)
4p = 16
p = 4

Vertex : (-4,2)

p = distance from vertex to focus/directrix

Focus = (h + p,k)
Directrix = h - p

Focus = (-4 + 4,2)
Directrix = -4 - 4

Focus = (0,2)
Directrix = -8

Wikipedia really explains this the best, better than I could begin to, so here's the link. The examples they use are concave up, but this one will be to the right (rotated) so you just need to replace x with y and vice versa.

a. 40 9/a hundred - if fifty one% is male then something (40 9%) could desire to be lady (cuz there are purely 2 genders) b. 21/a hundred - if fifty one/a hundred are male and 30 of them are adult adult males, then the the rest 21 could desire to be the lads c. 22/a hundred - if there are 40 9/a hundred women (answer a) and 27 of them women, then the the rest 22 could desire to be females d. 70/a hundred - if 30/a hundred are adult adult males, then something are not!! trouble-free! in case you upload up adult adult males (30), women (27), Boys (21) and ladies (22) you will get a hundred. so which you comprehend my solutions are suited!! desire this permits.
