Become friends with a bunch of the poor kids. Then maybe bring some into your 'group' and show the other kids that some of the poor kids are pretty cool. If everyone follows your example, eventually everyone will start to be friends with the poorer kids. I wouldn't expect all of this to happen overnight though, and the rich kids will probably think your crazy and you might get kicked out from the group even if you are rich from trying to change it. You are doing the right thing though, and even though your risking your social status to help make things right, it is totally worth it. =)

It's a difficult question and it covers a lot more then you think. In every social situation in everywhere in the world there are social distinctions. Whether it be between, Blacks and Whites, muslims and Jews, rich people and poor people, or any other of a million and a half different distinctions. It is a terrible threat to humanity that people cannot get along because of these petty differences, however, it doesn't always have to be that way. The main thing you need to remember is that it is in fact a question of humanity. Every person out there is a human being. Regardless of what they look like, what they act like, or their social economic level. This will only end when every body treats each other as a human being. Because the only person you have any control over is yourself, you need to start with yourself. Although it is difficult don't look at people as rich or poor, just look at them as potential friends. Also, treat everyone with respect and dignity whether they happen to be your boss, your employees, your "cleaning lady", your teachers, your waitress, or Brad Pitt. If you start to try to live this way then people around you will catch on and you will make a difference in the world. Also, if your one of your friends says something offensive about or to someone who is less wealthy then you, then just look at them and say, "Dude, not cool."

If you feel that you want to make a change, befriend some of the kids that are not in your "social status". Great people exist all over, whether rich or poor. I thinks it's more important to be kind to people, than it is to be accepted by the more popular people. Good Luck!!

You can't make it stop. It will continue between the groups. However, if you see one of the poor kids is working very hard in school and getting good grades and planning to go to college, this would be a good person to befriend as they are socially upward and will eventually end up like your group. The ones who are not interested in school will not work out as your friends.

Short answer: you can't. You are not in charge of society. You can, however, refuse to become involved in the bickering. By the way, summer vacation doesn't mean that there is no social interaction. With social interaction you will have friction. You simply need to handle yourself with dignity and honor and let the other people see you as an example. You can also let your friends know how disappointed you are in their decisions to continue this pointless war and that you will not be part of it. Say it, then actually follow through. If they want to be with you, they will follow you.

It will probably never stop until they are all old, settled in your own lives and careers. Then they will look back and see how ridiculous it all is. in the meantime, show your kindness to everyone. Many poor people perceive rich people as self-centered and uncaring. Maybe you can change that misconception. best wishes. good question.
