For crying out loud, he didn't actually hit the guy!

Do you also think he should have been ejected in the first place?

No, everyone hits people. He pitches inside, and so does Pedro. Pedro hit 6 in a game, and didnt even get tossed. No one gets suspended for hitting someone, especially someone going into the HOF. And it wouldnt make much of a difference with a 5 game suspension, since they only pitch every 5th day.

No, I don't think he should be suspended, but I believe he should have been ejected. It's just standard principle. If they didn't at least eject the pitcher, then they would plunk batters a lot more often. We don't want a ton of players getting hurt. Some players careers have been decimated or ended by being struck by a pitch.

5 games is good only because he is a pitcher. Pitchers have more sole value to a team and him not playing for a game not only messes the Yankee rotation up but instead of the 20-30 games he should play there is one less he plays and he has been heating up so it strikes even harder. I admit that 5 games sounds harsh and yes he did a great job of hitting the guy and making it look clean but the league has to act,

Actually, I think it's a blessing. Then we don't have to rely on his sorry, um, butt to win games. Maybe the Yanks will pull somebody who can pitch up from the minors.

BUT, I do think it's unfair. It did not seem to be on purpose, & I have seen both Pedro & Clemens get away with obviously beaning someone on purpose..

The sad thing is that the Yankees will probably win the game he can't pitch in during his suspension... Those bastards always win!

He didn't do that when he played in the National League. That's why pitchers should bat.

He should be suspended for 50 games.

What a jerk.
